London calling

Tomorrow I'm off to the UK till the 4th of June. So what am I going to do over there? Shop shop and shop till I drop ;) No just kidding, I'm going to shop a lot but I want to see a lot of the city too. I'm so excited to finally leave Belgium and have some quality time with my family :)

This is what I'll wear tomorrow.

I won't leave without the shirt of my boyfriend that I always wear to sleep and the last(!) calendar he made for me. Within 10 days he's finally back in Belgium after four and a half long months! So happy :)

I also want to thank all of you for reading and following my blog and leaving such sweet comments! You're the best!

Late birthday present

Today I got a late birthday present from my friend Pieter and I absolutely LOVE it! I've got these two awesome books, one is about the beloved fashion designer Alexander McQueen (R.I.P.) and the other one is a funny book described as: either the saddest funny book or the funniest sad book you'll ever read. You can read the whole book over hereThanks a lot Pieter!

Owls

It's official. I hate Belgium and it's shitty weather. And because the weather won't cooperate with me lately I chose this outfit. Because of the layers you can easily take off your clothes when things are getting too hot and take on your clothes again when the weather is getting too cold. And I'm soooo in love again with my owl shirt, which I totally forgot I had it!

Scarves

Saturday I bought these two lovely scarves. One from Massimo Dutti and the other one in a second hand store in Ghent. I already have some outfits in mind so keep an eye on this ;).

Herringbone braid

Today I tried something new with my hair. I present you, the herringbone braid. I saw it before on pictures on the internet but I always thought it was way too difficult. But today I said to myself, let's give it a try! And this is what came out. I know, I still need some excercise but it's not bad for a first time, no?

Here's how you do it:
Step 1: Seperate your hair into  two parts.
Step 2: Take one small section of hair from the underside of one section and bring it around the outside and over that section and join it with the other section.
Step 3: Repeat step 2 with the other section.
Step 4: Repeat steps 2 and 3 until you get to the bottom.
Step 5: Tie if off et voila!
